Scoliosis is lateral curvature with combination of rotational deviation of the vertebral column.
If view from the x-ray, the spine will look like a C or S shape.
Scoliosis mostly occurs in adolescent aged 9 to 14 years old, who is going through puberty, this is when the peak growth spurts take place.

After a proper assessment by physiotherapist, scoliosis can be corrected or managed in a conservative manner without surgery by doing the proper tailored exercises that even includes lung expansion exercises.
These exercises aim to return the spine to a more natural position by correcting postural muscle imbalance mainly with customized strengthening and stretching.
